Who I am...

Hello, my name is Sarah and I am the face behind Primary Path Education. I have been working in education for almost 13 years and I can safely say it’s the best job in the world.
In 2022, I had the privilege of working with two amazing Year 6 teachers as part of my teaching assistant training their passion and understanding of how to get children to truly enjoy school and the learning process was the ultimate reason I decided I wanted to do that too. I qualified as a teacher in 2013 and for the next 10 years, I made it my mission to bring energy and excitement to every classroom I could. This was especially important to me when teaching Year 6 as the dreaded SATs loomed on the horizon. I did everything in my power to make sure that my classes were fully prepared for the tests but did not fear them and my role as a senior, specialist marker meant I could show them exactly how to answer questions, gain maximum marks but also relax! As head of English, I loved nothing more than bringing books alive and watching children get lost in new worlds. It’s safe to say that reading and writing are, and always have been, my ultimate passion.
I began tutoring in 2019 when I started working with grammar and independent schools in London to conduct research for the 11+ tests. After 4 years of developing and honing my understanding of these schools and their testing procedures, Primary Path Education was born. Since then, I have worked with over 200 students from all around the world to achieve all sorts of goals. As well as supporting children in passing the 11+ and the SATs, I have: helped children from Ukraine learn English from scratch; written and implemented home learning plans for children with SEND, coached businessmen from Japan to deliver speeches to French royalty; written curriculums for several language-learning apps and, most importantly, allowed hundreds of children to catch up in areas they have struggled with and start to enjoy school again.
Outside of my office, I am a mother to a beautiful little girl who has changed my life entirely since her arrival; I am lucky enough to live in the middle of the forest with her, my husky Mishka, my can Henry and my wonderful fiancé. I am also an avid adventurer, fitness fanatic and an unlikely metal and rock lover.
It is my privilege to do what I do and I am always willing to provide help and advice should you need it.

A heartfelt thank you to Sarah – an exceptional tutor and a truly special person Where do I even begin? If you're looking for a tutor who is not only intelligent and skilled, but also deeply compassionate, genuinely interested in your child’s wellbeing, and wholeheartedly invested in their success, then Sarah is exactly who you need. From the very first conversation I had with her, I knew I didn’t need to look any further. Sarah immediately put me at ease — she really listened to my concerns about my daughter’s upcoming SATs, responded with honesty and warmth, and laid out a clear, realistic plan of action that felt perfectly tailored to my daughter’s needs. Her confidence and clarity reassured me instantly that we were in safe hands. But it wasn’t just her professionalism that stood out — it was her kindness and empathy. Sarah has a way of making both parents and children feel truly seen and understood. She showed a sincere interest in my daughter, not just as a student but as a whole person. The thoughtful questions she asked, the way she responded to my daughter’s learning style, and the gentle encouragement she offered all showed how deeply she cares about her work — and the children she works with. From their very first lesson, my daughter felt less anxious about the SATs. She came away saying she understood parts of maths that she’d never been able to grasp before — all because of the way Sarah explained things. Sarah has this incredible ability to break down complex concepts into manageable steps that made sense to my daughter, building her confidence with every session. One of the things I appreciated most was the communication. After every lesson, I received a detailed email update outlining what they had covered, how the lesson went, and what they planned to work on next. It gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to see just how thoughtfully Sarah was tailoring each session. My daughter genuinely looked forward to her lessons. That alone speaks volumes. She trusted Sarah, she felt safe to make mistakes, and she knew that even if she got something wrong, Sarah would guide her through it patiently and without judgment. The way Sarah celebrated her wins — even the small ones — made my daughter feel proud of herself. And when she struggled, Sarah’s kind and empathetic approach meant she never felt anxious or discouraged. That emotional support was just as important as the academic help. Sarah helped my daughter overcome the anxiety that had been holding her back, particularly in maths. Once that fear was gone, her confidence soared. She went into her SATs feeling calm and capable — and not only did she pass comfortably, she came incredibly close to full marks in English. I cannot recommend Sarah enough. Her passion for teaching, her incredible emotional intelligence, and her ability to connect with children in such a meaningful way make her a rare find. If your child is feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or lacking confidence, Sarah will help them rediscover their strengths — and believe in themselves again. We are so grateful for everything she has done.Posted on Danielle BlackmoreTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. She worked with our son for 7+ preparation in particular reading & creative writing and got offers from all competitive 3 schools that he applied fortunately. We especially like her 1) fast response, 2) good understanding on where the child is, and 3) focused/efficient approach. I have been going to Sarah for English lessons for several months. I think she is a fantastic teacher. She is not just an English speaker, she can also teach, and that is very important. The lessons are carefully prepared and tailored to our level of English and our needs. You can always ask about anything and get a satisfactory answer. If you need to break through in speaking English, polish your grammar skills or in terms of understanding the interlocutor, and on top of that you want a pleasant atmosphere, this is the best place. Sarah is also really supportive and caring person. I heartily recommend lessons with her.Posted on Rebecka SjöströmTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. Sarah is a wonderful and engaging teacher. She has a good sense of how much children can bear to listen and alternates with conversations and questions about what they have read. The children get to think for themselves and they learn new words throughout the lesson. My daughter loves being in Sarahs class and feel uplifted and happy after having a lesson.Posted on Lilian GustafssonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. My 6-year-old LOVED the reading sessions! I was unsure if she would be able to participate or even sit still for the whole 50 min. She was hooked within minutes and answered questions and actively listened the whole time. To be honest I don't think I have ever seen her be that focused. When the session was over she was persistent to continue with the sessions.Posted on Elaine AsiimaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook.
